Microneedling

With the Skinpen

Often referred to as collagen induction therapy, that is exactly what microneedling it.  One of the very few ways we can actually induce collagen production and synthesis in our skin, particularly as we age.  After our early 20s, we are no longer producing new collagen.  This occurs while sun exposure and natural aging is steady causing a decline in the amount of collagen we have present in our skin.

Microneedling creates controlled micro injury to our skin so that our body is forced to go in and repair the microinjury with new collagen and elastin.  Similar to how we go to the gym to tear our muscles down to create new & stronger muscle fibers, so is microneedling for the skin.  By creating an injury to the Dermis layer of skin, the fibroblasts that live there are activated to assist in helping fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, acne scarring, and even pigmentation.

At Refine, we use the SkinPen for all micro needling procedures.  It was the first device FDA approved.  Being a medical grade device, the needles are able to get to a depth that makes a difference in the dermis layer, not the same as the dermarollers that you may have seen for home use.

Effectiveness of this treatment is all about proper depth, control of the injury, and properly trained professionals to reach with indicated clinical endpoint to create results.

Often this procedure requires multiple sessions to see the full benefit.  Procedure is completely comfortable as our topical numbing agent is specially compounded for these types of procedures. Downtime is also quite minimal with approximately 1-2 days of redness to the skin.  Making it a great procedure to incorporate into your yearly aesthetic wellness plan.

Pricing:

1 session - $400
